In fact, one of the better Monday night games. I know you both had fun, prolly one had a little more fun than the other, but at least you got to experience the whole thing together. We have enjoyed having you over and getting to meet Elizabeth. She is a sweet young woman and we are looking forward to getting to know her and her family better. Your Mother and I appreciate you taking the time to come see us and share the holiday with us. It is really a special time when we can all get together and laugh and eat and play like we used to as a family. Both you and Patrick have been wonderful boys and young men. We are just so happy that you both have found the women that make you happy. I will cut this a little short because we just saw you , but sometimes it solidifies our sentiments better when we can put it down in your blog too. You will do fine with your surgery next week... It is always nice to have some event during the week to look forward to with anticipation. I spoke with your little brother this morning and he said it was raining pretty good over there but should be out of there by this weekend. We are expecting the same weather tonight and Saturday morning but then things should clear up for the big Bayou Battle Saturday night. The Cajuns installed the all weather field last year so it won't be a sloppy track. It is nice to see that you are taking time to enjoy the present rather than lamenting the past or wishing your life away. Nothing is more important than what you do with today. Some of us learn that lesson too late in life and wonder where it all went. Some of us like to make things happen , some like to watch what happens and others wonder what just happened. Being involved in life and enjoying what we have been blessed with is important.... it's not all about having what you want but loving and being thankful for what you've got. I like hot, but not too hot where I can't enjoy the food. Time does seem to fly by now days. It seems like we just celebrated Christmas, and to think by this time next year, you'll have a six month old niece/nephew running around (well maybe just hanging around, not running). We are really looking forward to spending time with you and our new sister next week. Family should never feel like an obligation, but hopefully something we can all look forward to you, and we are, and I know your parents are, too. Hopefully by the time you leave, our clothes will still fit and we'll still have money in our wallets.
